Our very popular Eagle/Winter Wonderland Cruises (details in our Special Cruises page) with the Connecticut Audubon EcoTravel Division, will start on February 11th and will run through March 18th, weekends at 9:00am, 11:30am and 2:00pm and Thursday at 10:00am and 1:00pm. The cruises will be a little more than two hours in length.

Cost is $40 per person, no one under 10 years old please. There is ON-LINE booking (upper right hand corner each page) for the Eagle/Winter Wonderland Cruises available. 

Eagles are around! There have been at least five immature Bald Eagles hanging out near the Salmon River. Also saw a mature in Haddam fly above a Great Cormorant that was in the water with a fish in it's mouth. It saw the eagle, spit out the fish and dove under real fast allowing the eagle to swoop down and grab the fish! The eagle then flew onto a nearby tree to eat lunch. We are going to depart from Eagle Landing State Park in Haddam this year. No ice to interfer with the cruises and since it's close to home, it will be much easier for Captai Mark who is still recovering from his back surgery.
