Sunset Cruise Hours for 2010:

We are offering our sunset cruises on Wednesday thru Sunday each evening we do not have a charter or special cruise. Please see our Calendar for latest schedule.

Departure Times:

Before June 10th: 6:00pm

June 11th to August 5th: 6:30pm

August 6th to August 24th: 6:00pm

August 25th to September 16th: 5:30pm

September 17th to September 30th: 5:00pm

October 1 to October 30th: 3:30pm (special foliage)

NOTE: Private Charters and Special Expeditions take precedence.

Cruise Description:

RiverQuest  offers a peaceful, relaxing Sunset/Evening Cruise on the beautiful lower Connecticut River. We have a cabin so hot sun or rain is not an issue, you can be under cover. It is beautiful out here anytime. Cloud cover is OK!

At the end of a hectic workday, busy day with the kids, visiting or new to the area or a local who just wants to remember the beautiful area you live in, please join us aboard RiverQuest and experience the beauty as we quietly cruise along these unspoiled waters.  On this cruise, about two hours in length, we do only light narration so that you can just relax and enjoy.  Enjoy the spectacular beauty as we cruise the lower Connecticut River, an area that the Nature Conservancy considers to be "One of the Last Great Places".      

Bring a group (up to 12) of your friends, co-workers, family or just yourself. Gather around a table with your picnic basket and your "favorite" beverage (alcohol is allowed).  

Parents: Get a sitter, take a break and enjoy a lovely, peaceful cruise on the river.  

Due to the length and time of this relaxing cruise, No passengers under 12-ish please! Thanks. (Children of any age are welcome on any of our Daytime Cruises).

We can accommodate pre-arranged small groups (up to 12 persons) for a public sunset cruise, however, if someone wants that evening for a Private Charter, the charter will take precedence (good old economics). We'll call or e-mail you to give you first choice of the evening as a Private Charter. Larger Groups that are over 12 persons, Contact Us or call. 

Need to fill your picnic basket??  Here are some places in Haddam you can pick food up at: The Cooking Company, Haddam Pizza, Country Market, Dunkin' Donuts or Subway. If you have come off exit 7, Route 9, Haddam Pizza is on the left before the light, The Cooking Company is on the right just before the light. On Route 82/Bridge Road: Subway is on the left, Country Market is on the right, Dunkin' Donuts is on the left. If you need some "favorite beverage", Tony's Liquor Store is on the right on Route 82/Bridge Road, next to the Country Market. We will have a cooler with ice on board.

Or go to one of the local eateries (La Vita Gustosa or The Gelston House, both in East Haddam or The Blue Oar in Haddam) before or after your cruise.
